I think we need more people to approach it head on. Maybe we should go back to the village and try to recruit more players, a couple new ones recently joined the forum with the idea of playing. Besides, I haven't picked this up very well and am not able to post everyday. And of course there is the whole dead thing.......

O.K. I posted that we will get a doctor for Sabina first and then that the rest of us will meet with Knight.

Kong... you need to create another character since this one died.

FarSeer... you may want to consider other means of quick healing after seeing the doctor. wink.gif It didn't do much for Joe, but there are two different options there.

I will see what Knight has to say before I decide if I am in or out for this go 'round.

It looks like we have no choice but to abort the mission, unless a few of us want to be renegades and search out the bandits on our own, for purposes of pride. There is no reward involved now, and we have lost many people. We are also the laughing stock of the village now. I will venture with anyone who wishes to go out again, but not unless we have a rock-solid plan on how to carry it out.

I will probably reply regarding how we lost the horse and mention how many losses we have incurred. I will do what I can to defend our honor, but we may be forced to come up with a way to pay back the horse.

Ice speaks up: "We are all fierce warriors, but these bandits seem to be almost superhuman. They attack us from a position of fortification. We have suffered many losses. Our last trip was just as deadly as the first. We have had one kidnapped, two killed, two gravely wounded and several with lesser wounds. Unfortunately, your horse was stolen when our comrad was kidnapped."

First of all, I want to state that I'm aware that I'm not an experienced player in this kind of RPG, so if you think that I'm wrong don't hesitate to contradict me ... I won't be offended.

My opinion is that we must do something to recover Kiana ... we can't just let her with those outlaws. My suggestion is to wait till our injured friends feel well enough to restart the "hunt". Maybe in this time other players will join.

If I counted right he have 6 horses ... I think we have no choice, but to give one to Knight. That leaves us with 5 horses. Maybe we can raise some money to buy a horse to each player (I'll do my best to buy myself at least a riding horse).

As for how to handle the attack on those bandits, I think we got 3 options
1. ride very fast through Death's Mouth and if we reach the exit alive, go for the forest on the west and try an ambush there (I could give more details if you are interested). We could do it at dawn or better at sunset ... the sun could trouble any archers on the mountain.

2. climb the mountain west from Death's Mouth. For that we need equipment ... and we have to split. some of us climb the mountain and the others on horseback wait for signals.

3. I noticed on the map there is another way to cross the mountains with horses - the gorge on the east leading towards the Hordeland. I think we can do it only if we all have horses (it's too hard to travel on foot such a long distance). The purpose is to get on the other side of the mountain and maybe surprise the bandits. A big disadvantage is that we don't know what lies in that area.

I think this post is already too long so I'll stop for now and wait for your suggestions.

I just wanted to let you all know that based on the events I have been going through, I will not be able to participate in the game. I want to apologize for this, I hope you all understand. Thanks again for your support.

Raul, good thinking. I have some comments though. First, the original mission wasn't to rescue Kiana, it was to clean the land of Bandits. That is what Knight sent us to do. After Kiana was kidnapped, we decided to rescue her. So, maybe we let her go and just go back to the original mission.

Second, all horses are owned by individuals so giving one to Knight really isn't an option. If one of the ones who died had a horse we could give it to knight but that isn't what happened so we don't have a horse to give to him. We could pool our gold and purchase one. I think all the people who played in the first game should contribute to replacing the horse. It costs 52 gp. If FarSeer and I each give 9, and Smudge, LDS, Nighthawk, and Xander each give 8, we can purchase a horse, then give it to Knight. Take a month to recover and see what new journey awaits us. (I don't mean a month in real time, but in RPG time).

What do you all think?
