I can give 9 or even 10 to make up the difference. In the meantime, we need to figure out what our best mode of attack will be before we even leave the village.

I meant everyone give 9 except for Smudge and Xander. They give 8. I just posted it wrong. Smudge and Xander have the least gold which is why I have them giving 8 each. I will send a PM to LDS to see if she agrees to give hers as well since she won't be in the next adventure but was in the first one.

I messed up. Before I contacted LDS, I double checked. She wasn't in the first game - Cleaning the land. That means there are only five of us.

Here is my proposal. Joe, Mud & Kron give 10 GP. Ice and Sabina give 11 each. That will be 52. If I don't hear strong objections before 10:00 .m.. tonight, I am going to post that we will pool the GP as indicated above, Ice will go to market, buy a horse and return it to Knight.

Can someone please read through the faqs and beginning of the current camp to figure out how long we need to rest before we can begin again with healthy members. I think it could be as much as 1 week per HP, but I don't have time to check.

I can donate 9. No problem at all.

BTW, is there a good map of the region? Thinking about Knight's words, it seems that there must be some other way south of the mountains, other than Death's Mouth.

https://www.bordeglobal.com/foruminv/index.php?showtopic=6924 is where you will find a map of the area and then further down a map of the village. You need to scroll down a bit to find these. You probably should read all of it anyway. Anyone who hasn't already should.

OOC: I'm in on the contribution for the horse..

And, again, I'm all for changing our approach -- especially since it's now been rather deftly pointed out in the GM's last post that we are being way to obvious.

I tried to find out more about healing, but I just learned this:

QUOTE
In the "[medieval] Faq,  The info here might just be what you are about to ask, so please check here first!" thread:
Healing Related Questions

Q. When does my character need to see the doctor?
A. When your character has 2HP or less.

Q. Why do I need to see the doctor if I an 2HP or less?
A. You are in bad enough shape that it is necessary to get a professional to help you recover.

Q. What if I am on '0'HP?
A. Then you are unconscious and may even need surgery. Costs for this is located under 'Village Healer Visit'.

Q. What if I am on '-1'HP?
A. You are dead - only resurrection is possible - if at all to bring you back to life.

Q. So if I am on '1'HP and I arrive at the doctor and I pay him to heal me only until I reach '3'HP is that possible?
A. No, doctors work by diagnostic treatment - you must pay him the amount for each HP you lost. The doctor essentially gives you this cost BEFORE attempting to help your body to heal as he will know what it takes. If you are on '3'HP then you do NOT need the doctor and can essentially heal yourself through rest.

Q. Can the doctor hasten healing?
A. No, doctors do not heal, doctors essentially aide the body to do its' own healing, which takes time and you cannot rush nature.

Q. Are there faster methods of healing?
A. Not through normal means, but there are myths of potions that cure you instantly, but no one knows where to get them.

In the "Staying Alive,  A guide to remaining healthy in the World of Medieval." thread:
Healing

Everyone has a common sense knowledge of how to stop bleeding and to secure open wounds, but that does not mean they know which herbs to use for healing, if it was such a common knowledge then there will not be a need for the profession of a herbalist (hence characters are given a chance to know this as a profession). By the way, keep in mind that there are doctors in the World of Medieval, some, if not all work in conjunction with a herbalist. Selecting the profession of herbalist allows you to have an extra defense of health for your character, but it does not make him/her a doctor for each wound.

Neither herbs or doctors can be a cure all for wounds caused by a sword or axe. Most times these kinds of wounds require extensive surgery, specific healing (lots of rest - weeks at least), good food and place to stay. Your best friend after a serious battle is the wonder flask known as a 'healing potion' or 'health elixir'. When drunk they cause an instant healing reaction. Usually made by an alchemist that works underground these potions are hard to come by, and when you do find them they are outrageously expensive, but it does mean the difference between life and death.

I am going to take a short break from RPG for a while. You will need to elect another leader. I will keep an eye out to make sure you get one elected and continue to post until you do so nothing horrible happens during the transition.

I hope to resume my play with the next adventure, but I need a break for a while. In the post that you make indicating how long you are waiting be sure to send Ice home for this adventure.

Thanks.
