Muttering to herself, Sabina shrugs and goes about restowing her gear -- partly to kill some time, and partly out of frustration. "I still wonder what's in it fer 'im? That four gold will barely buy his rations for a few days. Does he even have a horse? What's 'is angle?" She shakes her head and leans against her horse, chewing a blade of grass plucked from the edge of the pathway. She settles in to wait.
OOC: I misunderstood the post before last. I thought the guy had already gone to the market, and we had no choice about it. Now I see that he merely said he was going to be back quickly. If I had known he was still standing there, I would have had Sabina insist on accompanying him.
Do we wait any longer, or do we head out? I'm all for getting on with this show.
I.C. "If you do not find him quick let us depart, I will find him and give him one chance to return what he stole when we return. Perhaps he will not be so fast to run off with others property if he is missing a finger or two."
O.O.C. I will not be around as much as I have the last week. I found a new job FINALLY, I will keep up as much as possible, at least daily.
OCC: OK, so now we know that were once again taken. It appears that everyone in town knows us now as the village idiots. We need some suggestions, fast, about what we are going to do.
I don't know much about the cave incident, so someone who was involved there might explain. Perhaps it would be a good idea to return there and do some cleanup work?
Otherwise, do we just all start wandering around near the mountains?
IC: "Aargh! I can't believe we fell for that! What's next? Getting our butts kicked by a gang of little children?
OOC: I'm not sure what you're talking about with "the cave incident."
Personally, I think your first idea to go east to the pass through mountains near Hordeland is a good idea. I'd like to get there quickly, and so I think that, rather than walking the horses, we should double up and ride fast. Yes, it will tire the horses, but it will be better than taking a week to get there, and they can rest overnight when we find decent shelter.
IC: Sabina sighs heavily. "I can't believe we are such gullible saps. Ah, well, 4 gold was better than 40." She slaps Joe heartily on the back, and looks 'round at her companions with a sheepish grin. "C'mon you sorry souls. Let's go to the tavern for a hearty meal before we depart on this adventure. My treat." She heads off toward the tavern.
