ICC: "If the people who kidnapped Kiana were traveling by horse as we suspect, then there must be some kind of signs on the road and maybe even some kind of personal belonging that Kiana left for us as a clue in order to look for her."
According to this post from the last scenario, we know that Kiana was taken to the South. Is everyone familiar with the map of the area? Also, do we have one among us who would be good with making a map? Probably Althea. It would not hurt to map out where we have been, and what we found in each area. eg, Maicman's body, where Kiana was taken, etc. We tried to do this the last time but didn't have anyone smart enough to draw a map. I think our only next logical place to go is South towards Death's Mouth. I would suggest having our bows drawn especially as we near the mountains.
OOC: So sorry for not posting earlier, my internet at home is down and I"m logging on from work which makes me nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs.
IC: Althea swiftly produces her writing case from her saddlebag and draws a rough, but sufficient, map of the area, then stows the case and drawing. She looks up and catches Joe's eye with a friendly smile.
"Friend Joe! Thou art a stout and strong warrior, are you not? Have you room to carry some of my gear? I seem to"ve over packed for our journey, and I don't" wish to overtire my horse. Perhaps you would have room for my hammer, spikes, rope, and grappling hook?"
IC: True enough Kron, they headed south, but mayhap they doubled back and headed in another direction once they were out of our site. Let's see if we can find their trail and follow it.
OOC: I think I should post everyone's in character thoughts and then indicate we will look for a trail or tracks left by the group we are hunting to follow. If we find such, we will follow it. If we find nothing, we will simply head south.
Joe, will you be willing to carry some of Althea's equipment (assuming the GM will allow it) to help lighten her load? I am not sure he will allow it though because then he needs to keep track of what you have. You do have the option of leaving something behind. Another choice would be for us to all use your oats to feed the horses tonight, thereby reducing your load and then share our oats with your horse for the next 5 meals.
Or you can choose to leave behind some of your gear.
Maybe just wait and see if the GM indicates your horse is tired, but that could be risky because if we needed to flee someone, your horse might not be able to get away.
IC: From what I remember, those mongrels headed south with Kiana. Althea, can ye draw up a maps of where's we are? I would if I knew how to read n' write.
OOC: You can post this as my response IC.
