It honestly makes sense that Australia would form its own republic. I really do not see the benefit that Australia gets from its ties and allegience to the Monarch. A long time ago when England was the supreme power, this would be a very desirable option. However, today, other than a periodic Queen visit, there is little else that I see Australia gets out of the deal.
