'PINK PANTHER' FINDS PLENTY OF GREEN AT BOX OFFICE
Inspector Clouseau bumbled his way to the top of the box office as Steve Martin's "The Pink Panther" debuted with $21.7 million to lead a rush of new releases.

I have never been a huge Steve Martin fan, and my belief is that this is another means of promoting Beyonce, and using her as a draw to the movie. The same was done in the last Austin Powers movie. I have no inclination to see this movie at all. I'll stick with the original Pink Panther movie thank you.
My daughter and I went to see it today. Horrid! Kevin Kline, who is one of my favorite comedic actors, was just horrible. He couldn't seem to decide whether to use a French or British accent, kept switching between the two and sometimes in mid-sentence! (And frankly, neither accent was very good anyway.) There were a couple of scenes that went way beyond double entendre, that makes this movie completely unacceptable for young children. And it was boring. The best acting was the guy assigned to be Clouseau's driver, an actor I've seen in several other films, Jean Reno. Great "straight" guy to Steve Martin's bungling. Really, all of the funny parts you will see on the TV trailers.
Very disappointing. Peter Sellers is rolling in his grave. Steve Martin will never be a replacement Inspector Clouseau.
1 orange star.
