That is a very hard question to answer.
Do you go in and risk immoral thoughts and temptations?
Or do you risk putting the person you're supposed to protect in danger and be fired from your job?
Being tempted is not a sin but we sin if we give into temptation.
I think you should let your conscience and the Holy Ghost help you to make your decision. We shouldn't put ourselves in a situation we know we will be tempted in.
True commitment to keeping the commandments means we try to live as far from temptation as possible.

D&C 20:22 He suffered temptations but gave no heed unto them. |
QUOTE (LDSCyn) |
I think I would discuss my beliefs with the peson I am protecting. I would tell them to wait until I could get a back up bodyguard to take over for me. |
Good thing that police, emergency, and other kinds of personnel do not take the attitude that they must keep themselves apart from anything like a nude bar. If I have contracted myself to defend someone, I will defend them no matter where they go. If they do something illegal, then it is my obligation to inform the authorities and leave the job, unless I have committed myself to silence.
If you are part of a military unit called to war, you will most assuredly be exposed to sinful places and happenings.
Where is the sin being committed here? You can go into a bar and not drink but you cannot go into a nude bar without becoming adulterous?
There is no sin there... like I stated before... Being tempted is not a sin but we sin if we give into temptation.
We can always say it all depends on the person and their weaknesses... If you were to be guarding someone as your job at a nude bar would you keep looking at the ladies instead of doing your job?
One of the great myths in life is when men think they are invincible. Too many think that they are men of steel, strong enough to withstand any temptation. I think most of us think, "It cannot happen to me."
Just one peek at a naked woman, .....that sounds so harmless, but what you see is so much harder to get rid of than for example what you take into your bodies such as alcohol or a cigarette. Many criminals admit they got their start in crime by viewing obscene pictures.
I guess many people would choose their job(protecting someone inside a nude bar) then follow the teachings of our Saviour and of the living prophets.
Remember what we do in life echoes in eternity.
QUOTE |
JAMES E. FAUST. I once heard a man tell his sons, "I can drive closer to the edge than you because I have had more experience than you." He thought he was in control, but he was really in denial. "The trouble with using experience as a guide is that the final exam often comes first and then the lesson." 4 Some people think their age and experience make them better able to withstand temptation. This is a falsehood. |
Interesting Question,
Christ routinely had encounters with the worst kind of sinners. So have all the great prophets and missionaries. This life is not about simply toeing some rule of law but perfecting ourselves. If nudity was a weakness of mine, then yes, I would avoid it like an alcoholic should avoid a bar. But if you can truly be an honorable, loving person and see those poor women for who they are, our sisters, then you would not allow it to affect you.
Too many here worry about rule of law and not the true reason we are here, perfection. Obedience to law is a means through which the weak can begin to perfect themselves, it is not a way to be perfected.
