A man given six months to live by his doctors has been told by an Italian court to come back in 14 months to hear the outcome of his demand for insurance damages.

I feel so bad for this man. I cant believe they are doing this. I wonder what would happen over here in the states. Don't they have some sort of expedition to make the process happen faster in situations like this? I hope we do, its tragic that the government officials haven't stepped in to intervene.

Actually, I thought this type of lunacy in courts was only possible in the US. However, if this guy was in the US, the best way to get this settled would be to do it in a outside settlement. I would think that he is chaining himself to the wrong door...he probably should be chaining himself to the insurance companies door and calling up the television stations with his story. This would definitely be the kind of publicity that the insurance company would totally want to avoid! Denying a dying man his money that is due to him? Think you will sign up some new clients with that kind of customer service?
