I think it needs to be either or. If one religion cant pray, then neither should the other one be able too. But it needs to be made very clear from the outset that either all religions can pray, or none can. But it wouldn't be fair if they are the only ones that cant pray. If no one can pray, then its plenty fair and they need to lighten up and understand that religion is not allowed in their work place.

Not sure that Dell Inc has the same problem my company has, but we cannot just take 10 minutes to stop everything and pray. Our process runs 24hrs a day 365 days a year and needs to be monitored at all times. There is definitely something more here than what is being said in the story. I am sure that these muslims do not tell their children to drop what they are doing at school and pray at certain times. Their break-time is a perfect time for them to pray...that is what break-time is for. They can go do what they want for 15 - 20 mins.

The Quran is a Muslim's guide and the Quran tells the Muslim how to approach his/her prayers during difficult periods and no Muslim should make prayer a period of difficulty.
For work-hours the Muslim can adjust his/her prayers to avoid conflict since he/she is allowed to prayer before or after work-hours. Allah did not make Islam difficult for anyone and no Muslim should use prayer-times to gain attention or to make comparisons with others.
Islam is a complete way of life and should not be made to appear as a prayer-only system or as an obstacle in the work-place since at the work-place you are asking the employer to be the Imam of your habit of prayer when you make requests that are unnecessary.

30 gone, it's a start. Hopefully there's never an excuse relating to prayer time for a 10 min delay to a 911 response.
