Russia Friend Or Foe?

There is always talk about 'Russia seeks to dominate the World', but there is equal amounts of talk concerning the unnecessary hype used by the USA to make Russia look bad. However, from a political, strategic and monetary point of view whom would you say is the:

CHOOSE ONLY ONE BEST or WORST COUNTRY!

Worst Enemy of the Russia?
I would say the break away States that either became independent or want independence are the worst enemies. Russia had and continues to have many problems with terrorist groups from these countries who want to force Russia's hand in giving them what they want. Many of these groups are backed by local militias. Other than that Afghanistan seemed to be its' 'worst' enemy considering they lost the war against them with the help of the USA.

Best Friend of the Russia?
This one I am not really sure about, however, China seems to have very good relations with them. Cuba of course is quite an admirer, but the relationship seems to be one sided based on Cuba needing them more than the other way around.
