As my step father said to my son "how can you desire to be any one else?" Reply "Others see me as different and I some times think I should be the same." My in laws are Jamaican born and Scottish descent a typical stew pot of culture from this country.
One thing I noted with them is being darker was considered being closer to true blood Jamaican Native. So I would think you would see people desiring to use such a pill.
For me I would have no use for such an item, other then to really see what is like to walk in some one else's shoes for a short time.

Comments: I can definitely sympathize with Rikome's comments. One thing that drives me crazy is when people try to emphasize my "minority ethnicity" (I'm a quarter Asian), and shove it in my face, and try to rub it all over my life.
It's as if the non-White quadrant of my DNA contaminates the remainder. I find this incredibly insulting, not because I conflate whiteness with honor, but rather the assumption that one portion of my heritage muddies the purity of the majority.
And of course, the continuous correlation with the individual and a collective with which the individual has no real cultural ties also really irritates me.
Strangely, I get this more from enlightened liberals than I do from conservative people, who overwhelmingly disregard the issue with the indifference that it deserves. This is frustrating because I am a lefty. Maybe I should switch sides?
