Romney bashes Obama at Republican summit
WASHINGTON - Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney reflects conservatives' growing confidence when he taunts Democrats, saying "I'll bet you never dreamed you'd look back at Jimmy Carter as the good old days." Ref. Source 1
Mitt Romney says Obama failed America
"President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their team have failed the American people, and that is why their majority will be out the door," Romney told the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, a certain critical constituency in the upcoming Republican primary fight. Mitt Romney Says He Was Never Pro-Choice on Abortion as Mass Governor
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Mitt Romney is likely one of several Republican candidates who will vie for the GOP nomination and the right to take on pro-abortion President Barack Obama. For his 2008 attempt at representing Republicans, Romney caused consternation by talking about his position change on abortion and he is doing it again.
Appearing on the "Imus in the Morning" radio program with Don Imus this morning, Imus asked Romney to revisit his position change.
"Well, you know, I never really called myself pro-choice, but I did say when I was running for governor that I would keep the law as it was," Romney said.
But that appears to contradict what he said at the 2007 GOP Iowa straw poll debate.
"Look, I was pro-choice. I am pro-life. You can go back to YouTube and look at what I said in 1994. I never said I was pro-choice, but my position was effectively pro-choice. I changed my position. And I get tired of people that are holier-than-thou because they've been pro-life longer than I have," he said then. Ref. Source 3
Romney Leads Republicans in New Hampshire, Ahead in Nevada
New polls released in New Hampshire and Nevada reveal good new for the potential presidential campaign of Mitt Romney.
The former governor and 2008 presidential candidate is the early frontrunner in the Granite State, where he lost to John McCain in 2008 in the primary that ultimately prepared the way for the Arizona senator to become the nominee.
The New Hampshire Journal poll, conducted by the Republican firm Magellan Strategies, shows Romney with a 23 percentage point lead over his closest competitor, pro-life former vice-presidential running mate Sarah Palin.
The polling numbers break down this way: Romney 39%, Palin 16%, pro-life former candidate Mike Huckabee 10%, pro-life former House Speaker Newt Gingrich 8 percent pro-life Congressman Ron Paul 7 percent pro-life Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty 4 percent and pro-life former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum 3 percent Ref. Source 9
This Times article is not very flattering to Mr. Romney. But, as I've said all along, he's just another politician. He happens to have a ton of money at his disposal, so I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of Mitt in the next two years. I've seen his picture on Facebook for at least the past six months in the sidebar ads.
I'm already sick of the 2012 election, and it's not officially started yet.

He actually didn't do too bad last time for a first time candidate. His message was fairly on track as we are now headed to this election, so that will be a feather in his cap. The state's social medicine programs will not be a good thing on his resume. In order to shore up the Tea Party voters, I am not sure that Romney is fiscally conservative enough. Look for a governor that really took cost cutting measures to the state budget and is charsimatic to get the nod...IMO.
