I bought this Digital Camera about three years ago in an Ebay auction. It comes with a good software package, but the camera itself is really not up to par - here are the reasons why:

1. Batteries - it takes four and they do not seem to fit well. They often move and cause the power to go on and off. I believe this is a design flaw.

2. The pictures come out blurred oft times unless you stay absolutely still.

3. Taking pictures in the dark is a wish and a prayer as it does not handle light very well.

4. Transferring images to the computer is good as it has both a USB and serial port.

JB, hopefully you didn't pay too much for this camera. Here is what I have to offer based on what you told me as I have never heard of this camera before, or the manufacturer.

1) I assume you mean it takes 4 AA or AAA batteries or some equivalent. That alone is not a good sign. These alkaline batteries can never last long in a digital camera and one of the things I have learned is to always get a camera that takes a NiMh battery or equivalent.

2) Pictures coming out blurred is a sign of lack of focus and low resolutions. What is the max resolution on this camera? Is it 640x480? A good digital camera these days should start at least at 1MP.

3) Taking pictures in the dark requires that the camera allow for a low ISO setting, preferably 50. The camera is probably also not allowing the shutter to stay open for very long, thus not absorbing enough light. Does it have a built in flash at least? Your best bet for night pictures if there is a flash is that the object be as close to the camera as possible so that the reflection of the flash travels the shortest distance to the lens. Otherwise some external lighting may be required.

4) This is good as transferring pictures is why you would want a digital camera in the first place.

From what has been said here, my guess is that this camera is not very configurable, and the default settings are questionable at best. Is there at least an LCD screen of sorts where you can review pictures on the camera? Also, another important features of digital cameras is the ability for optical zoom. I don't want to sound like a know-it-all because I am fairly new to digital cameras myself, but I at first bought a cheap digital camera and was very disappointed. Now that I have a better one, the experience is a lot better and photography is fun again.
