Are there Boards that have too many topics of a similar theme and it needs to have its' own Board? For instance: The Psychology Board also used to contain topics on Romance, but this was split and the Romance Board was created. Now it is important to understand that a new Board will not be created just for two or three posts. There must be a specific demand for the theme at hand in order for a split to take place. In the same example there were about 10 or more posts specifically discussing Romance.
Likewise is there a topic that is so new and different that we need to start a new Board here for it? Would members post to that Board?
I would like to see a board that was dedicated to christianity. Now I'm not sure how this could be put because there are two of the three sects of christianity represented in LDS and Catholicism boards. But the protestant sect of christianity is rather large too and I think could sustain its own section.
The only problem I see with that is the mix-up and duplication of posts. If we did have a true number of born-again / pentecostal / protestants here and there were specific topics about that I guess it could be done. Thanks for the feedback.
I plan on sometime in the near future opening a set of new discussions on the Star Wars six-pack of movies and the characters, plot, etc. By the time I am finished, we may want to open a Star Wars board, but I'll leave that up to your discretion. I am a Star Wars freak as you know.
That's the problem. One never knows how many people will actually post to such a board. I suppose we would need to start off with just starting new Star Wars topics in the Movies board, and if there is a lot of activity in those discussions, then its own board may be warranted.
