First let me congratulate all of the "grown ups" for making a two page thread discussing a childs cartoon. That being said.........(deep breath)
Though spongebob supposedly has 32 years worth of employee of the month, he would have had to either not age or the months go by much faster. Remember, spongebob had been waiting his whole life to work their when he finally applied and fetched the gnuematic spatula. Squidward had already been working their for some time at that point. There are allot of time issues with spongebob and I think that the entire concept of time has just been tossed out the window to allow for every type of situation in a persons life from school bully and clubhouses to working and other adult type problems.
The pirates name is patchy, and his bird is named polly. That is the most annoying part of the show. I love squidward and his deadpan humor, but I cant stand that patchy the pirate. I also never understand how mister crabs can have a whale for a daughter, a sperm whale at that. And why is she roughly the same size as a crab, sponge, star fish, and squid? Also, either sandy is as small as a crab, or the crab is as big as her. I think size also has just been thrown out the window so that so many different sea animals can be used in the adventures.
Anyone remember how many times spongebob has failed the drivers test? I remember the episode but don't remember how many times he had failed it. Not only does he fail it, but he destroys the entire car and course and mrs. puff always goes to the hospital. That just cracks me up!
Well, I have seen a couple more episodes and I laughed quiet a bit. My favourite is Patrick he is so funny and naive, more naive than SpongeBob. Regards to his age I found the following:
"This is never mentioned out loud in the show, but it's just a little trivial fact that people yearn to know. Spongebob was born on July 14 (he is 18 if you consider the "86" to mean 1986), according to his driver's license, which you can see in the eps Sleepy Time and No Free Rides."

This makes a lot of sense taking in consideration that he works in a fast-food place (like a lot of teenagers do) and he stills going to school (probably in his last year).

SpongeBob Pitching Fruits and Vegetables
AP - Skip the Krabby Patty, SpongeBob SquarePants is going veggie. Pictures of the happy-go-lucky sponge will appear on packages of carrots, spinach and citrus starting next month, under licensing deals with produce companies. Dora the Explorer and other Nickelodeon characters also will debut on fruit and vegetable packages, according to the network.

I love Spongebob! I don't think I have ever laughed so much during a T.V show than I have during Spongebob Squarepants!
Sadly, my family does not have the channels which broadcast Spongebob so the only time I get to watch it is if I'm at someone elses house, or mostly when I am babysitting. I look after two twin girls, they're 9 going on 18 and I feel like such a dork asking them if I could watch Spongebob at 5:30!
My personal favorite episode is when Spongebob is trying to get Gary to take a bath. I laughed the whole time!
