Victim Robbery

That is so cool, I wish all robberies ended with the victim getting their attacker in the end! Its very sad to see that she got beat up and thrown in the river though. At least she is ok. But what on earth was she doing carrying a hundred dollar bill in her hand out in the open?

...In addition to which why did she run after him?! I mean TT$100 is only 10 quid, hardly anything worth dying over. However, I can visualize this happening easily since I used to shop in the area described and there are a lot of bandits and crack heads there.

Victim Robbery

In my opinion, she was very foolish for attempting to fight the man, and then chase after him. She is lucky she is still alive. In any self-defense class, they tell you to cooperate and don't fight, especially if you have no training in self-defense. The man could have easily pulled a knife or gun and killed her. I was also surprised about this statement in the article:

but a quick response by E-999 officers PCs Madeira and Banwarie led to his capture near the Ramnarine Gas Station

Having lived in Trinidad, I never experience a quick response from local authorities. In any case, it is good that it ended well, and the man was captured and will face judgement for his crime.
