7 million people is so astronomically high, I cant even fathom that many starving people in one place! I will there was something we could do to help these countries that are starving. It seems like there is more every day, and less aid to go around. I guess this has always happened, we just didn't have the media to tell us about it.
I am a person who is very interested in Malawi. Truth be told,I am helping out a Malawian friend(or abwenzi as Malawians say). That said the main problem with Malawian famines is that the government is selling reserve food to gain money. To stop these famines, Malawi needs some international investment. A great idea would be to creating tourist ads, brochures and the like. Malawi is a very beautiful country and one with a rich culture and history. That way the government gets money with selling reserve food and Malawians surivive.
