Knowing that a living organism was collected I can understand the sentence as it is a protected species. I would be wary of just finding shells on the shore and leave them be unless I know for fact that they are a empty shell. I am one who likes nature and do enjoy walking along a shore to enjoy the waves coming in and watching the power of the oceans. I hope this lady has learned a very valuable lesson. I hope others who read this understand that you must understand the laws of the places you are going to make sure you do not break a local law.
