This will be very good news for those on the spectrum taking medications as some of them cause massive weight gain. However, taking more pills is not a great idea.

Its good news for the Autism Parents and child that might be out of control to the point that she could not get through the day without being medicated due to a chemical imbalance or severe lack of self regulation.
I definitely do not agree with medications unless absolutely necessary, my view though is if it is necessary then you do not want the added stress of things like weight gain which can cause even more complications.
