Well, I do not know about that. Right now I am watching T&T vs. England and the score is 0-0 at half time. Not only that, but because England is not scoring much we have to see what happens in the Paraguay vs. Sweden match.
T&T definitely ran out of steam at the end. Look at all the space they gave Beckham to cross that ball in to Crouch. No one even challenged him. The same with the second. Load of space for Gerrard to take a shot.
As for Latapy, I suspect they will play him against Paraguay, so that he can at least say he played in the World Cup. It seems he is not 100%.
My question is why didn't Leo make some defensive subs at the end and try to keep the score 0-0?
Sweden 1 - Paraguay 0
I really felt bad for Paraguay, as they had just as much a chance of winning this game as Sweden did. Sweden did not get their game till the 89th minute. I am beginning to see a trend here where European teams seem to be more acclimatised to the conditions in Germany, and are outlasting other teams, and striking late in the game. Case in point:
Germany scores in the 91st minute against Poland
Sweden today against Paraguay
England against T&T
I was very disappointed that the warriors could not win or draw this game but I think they did a great job in keeping England at the bay for so long. Tomorrow is Argentina-Serbia Montenegro and I hope the boys can win the game and take us to the second round.
England 2 Trinidad & Tobago 0: Qualification the consolation after wretched England labour to victory
It began with the independent medical report that Rooney was at last ready to play and then a day that had carried so much hope began to disintegrate in the muggy heat of the Nuremberg afternoon. As Trinidad & Tobago frustrated England this became a performance comparable with Eriksson's very worst episodes: no sequences of passing and an appalling reliance upon long balls to Crouch.

Argentina 6 - Serbia Montenegro 0!
What a drubbing by the Argentines! This really puts them in a commanding position in the Group. Holland would have to beat Ivory Coast by 8 goals or more to be even in goal differential heading into a showdown with Argentina. 1st place in this group is crucial, as they will most likely face Portugal, while 2nd place would play Mexico. Let's see what the Dutch team does in the game against Ivory Coast coming up next!
