A very disappointing performance from the Mexican team, drawing 0-0 with Angola. This leaves the door open for Portugal to take a lead in the group by beating Iran. Mexico was favored to win this group handily. They also face a possible showdown with Argentina in the next round if they cannot win the group outright.

What a great game Argentina played! I know you all may think I am bias because it is my team but I am actually the first one to be a critic of the performance but the game against Serbia and Montenegro was just fantastic and it was not fantastic because of the goals scored but because of the quality of football played by the Argentinians. An amazing style. I hope they keep it up. Vamos Argentina!

For Mexican fans, the result between Portugal and Iran this morning was what they feared the most. If Angola beats Iran, they will have 4 points, which means Mexico needs a result against Portugal. If all they get is a draw, then Portugal wins the group. This, in my opinion, makes it imperative for Mexico to win their last game to secure the group.

USA-Italy is being hyped up as much as it can here in the US. Personally, I think the US had a better chance against Czech Republic, but I am sure they will give Italy all they can handle.

Ghana-2 Czech Republic-0

Ghana could of had more goals, but then there was that silly off side rule. I look forward to their next game - they mean business!

USA-1 Italy-1

This was a very entertaining match with people being sent off like water. Italy made an own goal in the most odd of manners. In all it was not a moment for Italy, but happily the USA gets at least one point.

The matches in which France and Brasil played were both very disappointing. Is it that the veteran teams are becoming slack or are other countries just putting out a better effort?

I think both and remember this is the World Cup, you never know the tactics. So far Brazil did not show what they are capable of, maybe they are going to show it later on the tournament.

Ecuador-0 Germany-3

After this game I have lost my view that Ecuador was a real challenge to the veteran countries. Germany not only dominated this game with goals, but it had reached a stage that they were making plays at will! Were it not for a few very close shots Germany could have made this six to zero.
