It is interesting that the NZRFU are for the revamped decisions. They are right it will be well with the fans and the media but what of the provincial sides if and when they may not meet criteria.....but it is great to include the teams from Manukau etc as there is a lot more talent out there in New Zealand. I guess that is why the clubs are behind school teams now to make things easier for selections while they are young!
I think NZ can sustain a national competition but it will be to the detriment of their Super 14 sides.
In Australia we have competitions in our capital cities, but no national competition. Super 14 is fantastic and I don't think our market would sustain a national competition as well as Super 14. They really should make the S14 season longer.
BRONCOS TOUGH TEST FOR WARRIORS
The New Zealand Warriors have a fair idea of what to expect when they meet National Rugby League (NRL) leader Brisbane in Auckland on Sunday in a match of historical significance.

Why are they fuming? I never even considered Japan as a rugby nation let alone to host the World Cup on their turf.
JAPAN 'FUMING' OVER WORLD CUP LOSS
Japan was portrayed as "fuming" and "bitter" as sports writers in Britain's mass-circulation newspapers reacted to New Zealand's unexpected victory in the 2011 Rugby World Cup bidding.

Japan is a growing Rugby nation and they were expected to get the World Cup more so the sport could be paraded in Asia than anything else.
It's exactly the same as when the US got the football World Cup in 1994.
But let's face it, New Zealand are the greatest rugby nation without comparison so I'm certain they will do a good job. NZRU were also pissed off they didn't get any involvement in Australia's World Cup, so there was probably a bit of payback as well.
