El Salvador has pretty stable electricity for an emerging country. Their power is 115 V, 60 cycles. If you travel to El Salvador with a device that does not accept 115 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter. That includes most of the world. Also El Salvador is the largest producer of geothermal energy in Central America. They have ambitious plans to expand their geothermal and hydroelectric generation over the next decade so they can sell electricity to their neighbors.
