Ramer Introduction

Greetings all, I go by the name Ramer. I look forward to meeting everyone. I enjoy roleplaying, I have played various paper and PC based RPG's in the past. Overall I have enjoyed the paper base versions more than the PC base because the paper based allows for more development of the character and greater interaction between characters. I have usually played a warrior or wizard who is a good friend, but remembers who wrongs him. I look forward to being able to be more in character with all of you soon.

If you want to Role-playing Game here, we have some simple rules that you have to follow:

1. Post no less than 30 constructive messages!
2. Keep an activity rating of no less than 75%
3. You should be AT LEAST 16 years old and intellectually vibrant
4. Read and show you understand (By the way you post) this thread on: Good Posting!
5. Diligently read the gaming rules for the Role-playing Game you wish to play
6. If you still have questions AFTER reading the FAQ Board then please ask them WITHIN this thread, do not start a new thread just to ask a question.
7. If you cannot handle the above then feel free to DELETE your account.

The next thing you should do now is update your profile. You can do this by clicking the link called, 'My Controls' in the top menu. You will be given a series of fields to fill in or menus to choose from, simply answer ALL the questions, and save it!

We have recently added a unique WIZARD to the Source 3t page to help newbies and others get step by step information to build a character!

I hope you will enjoy posting here and I also hope that we'll meet on the "Battle field".

If you hurry a little you could catch the beginning of new adventure.

Thank you Raul for the information. I planned on immersing myself in the rules this morning. I already like the format of this forum, there seems to be much more depth to the thought that has gone into this.

Welcome Ramer, you are perceptive and I hope you will be active. Most newbies join, but never quite reach the 30 post count requirement. We actually have a Medieval game about to start, so if you hurry (but still post constructively) you can get in.

I do plan to be active and I appreciate how you have designed the rules. Many years ago when MUDS were the only online RPG there were too many times that people would be there one day and become petrified and never move again. One GM actually made all of the non responders statues that you could go and visit. It added a element of humor to the game.

In an effort to attain my 30 constructive post, where else besides here can I post? When I try to post in some of the other forums some dog bites me in the ankle...has it had its rabies shot?

Please make sure that you only post personal discussions about your questions and experiences here, in this topic. Other peoples' introductory topics are there for THEIR questions and experiences.

I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to post in most of the other boards. What messages has the forum watchdog been giving you? That would help us understand what the problem is.

You may also wish to click on anywhere you see 'Phone Home' as there is help there too. by the way, do not post messages in other people's welcome thread unless you are actually responding to the person. I think you should look over the thread about Constructive posting.

Feel free to ask questions within your own thread if you are still lost.

I seemed to have figured out my own problem, I was trying to post in some of the Medieval forums, like the "How to Stay Alive" forum. I was getting the message "perhaps you should register" . I presume that I was getting that because I had not reached the 30 post limit yet.

From my understanding I can post to the other non Medieval forums and those will count towards my 30.
