BAAHHH, What a week. I have been on training from 11pm to 7 am all week, plus some studying after work. I am dead tired now and I don't know if I am suppose to be asleep or awake. I apologize I have not been around much this week, it will probably be like this for a few months, the training is 10 weeks. The real fun part will be after training when I get my actual shift and they are not sure what the will be yet.

The epic will continue........

So long as you are happy with your new prospects for lengthy employment I am sure the 10 weeks will blow bye quickly, just don't totally forget us here.

Ramer, be careful of your participation rate. I know that with your work you have not much time to post, but you are just at 75% and if it drops below that, you will have to raise it again before you can post in the RPG board.

Yes I noticed that, I will have to ensure I find some time when I get home and on the weekends to get some post in. It should not be to hard if I watch the RPG board closer, last week was a killer for me. It should be better this week though.

Well as you all may have noticed things have stabilized a little bit for me this week. The big thing I want to say to everyone is keep your heads up and look to the bright side. It was not until recently that things have started to go right for me. I was laid off a year and half ago right after I bought a new house and shortly after that my wife became pregnant. We struggled for the last few months, but we kept working our way through and now things are looking good. I know things can get tough, but you just have to keep working your way through and things work out, DON'T GIVE UP!

Those are very positive statements / affirmations and I believe you are correct. Sitting, moping and wondering only makes things remain dormant or even worst. In my current circumstance it is true hence I just keep working - it keeps me active, productive and I feel like I am accomplishing something. I must say that I am impressed that despite your situation you were willing to donate to this Community even before getting a job.

I have never been totally jobless, sometimes I have had many jobs at once none of them paying very much though. What actually helped me get my current job, was a contact I knew from one of my many part time jobs. I firmly believe that if you stay positive and continue to work towards your goals you will get there. It may be a strange long path you have to take, but you will eventually arrive.

Ramer, welcome to the forum. You joined during a period of relative inactivity for me. I usually welcome people much sooner than this, but first I was out of town on business, then catching up on work, then preparing for a little time off from work, then off from work on a motorcycle trip, then... Well, I am sure you get the picture.
