Funny results! My mom was raised half her life in Georgia and half her life in New York! I have actually lived in the midwest my entire life. I suppose its a fair score, I don't have grounds to argue it.

Sounds fair to me, although I probably have a bit more of the intermountain west accent, along with California influence thrown in. But then I have lived in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, California, Texas, Minnesota, Michigan, Mississippi (which only has two syllables when pronounced properly
), and Michigan, as well as England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.

Here are my stats:
50% General American English
40% Yankee
10% Upper Midwestern
I have no idea where the Upper Midwestern comes from. Of all the "yankee" terms, I have used most of them, mostly when I was a kid, but my language has changed as I have lived in other parts of the country and also by watching TV.

I don't know where they got the dixie, or the Yankee, for that matter. I think Colorado has a pretty generic version of American English, so I am not surprised by the overwhelming majority of general American usage.

I was really curious how will I score in this test, considering that I've never been in England or US. Can someone tell me what "Dixie" stands for? I have no clue.
