UTAH ART FOUND TO BE NAZI LOOT
A painting donated to the Utah Museum of Fine Arts has been discovered to be one of many works of art confiscated by Nazis during World War II.

Wow. That is interesting. I think it'd be neat to own something of that sort, and find out down the road that it was a piece of history.
yes it would be fantastic to own something that may have been pertinent in history. Think of whom would have handled such a painting and what their thoughts may have been at the time. Why was the painting confiscated?
I don't think that it would be 'neat' to own stolen property.
The Nazis stole thousands of works of art (and a lot of other stuff) before and during the war.
The Utah Museum of Fine Art will now have to return the painting to the rightful owners - the family from whom it was stolen over fifty years ago. (Judging by the date on the Deseretnews webpage, it has probably already been returned.)
