More Europeans than Americans had a broadband Internet connection in the first
quarter, according to a survey published Wednesday, which also showed South
Korea is on the verge of losing its global pole position.

This is a hard pill to swallow. I can only vouch for the midwest where I live. Cable internet speeds out here average almost 4MBps download speeds. Its also become exceedingly inexpensive to have cable broadband. Yet we are still lagging behind the rest of the world in broadband? I cant even imagine doing dial up now, but thats exactly what many people still have. They don't realize that broadband is only about fifteen dollars more expensive for hundreds of mbps increases in speed.
