EMBRACE 'NOVEL' DIPLOMACY
EDITORIAL: In 1953, Ernest Hemingway won the Pulitzer Prize for his novel "The Old Man and the Sea." It might not be his best, but it is easily his most-read. And he wrote the book in a made-to-order home on his favorite "Island in the Stream" -- Cuba.

Ernest Hemingway was a great writer and had an ability to connect with people that is rarely seen today. While his writing could reach across cultural boundaries, there are very few writers today that would even care to be able to do that. The big push is the great story line that keeps you enticed. Writers that make a mark on history are rare if not extinct in this day and age. If you know of a writer that could impact the world like Hemingway, I would like to know who they are.
