I love Pizza Hut the most. I love their value eat as much buffet lunch, for less than $5 and with that you get as much salad bar and pasta as you'd like too!
Their ham and pineapple pizza is by far the best I have eaten anywhere.
I like to take my eldest son there at the end of a school holiday for a treat, just me and him, it's good quality time spent, and I look forward to it as much as he does!
My favorite in town is a local place called Craigo's. It is a pretty big student hang-out, but they do have the best pizza. I believe they also have pizza and salad bars, and a delicious dessert called the COOKIE MONSTER. It is one big cookie cooked in an individual pan, and when it comes out of the oven they dump vanilla ice cream, chocolate and whipped cream...yum.... But anyway, this is about pizza.
If I had to pick a favorite national chain of pizza... Dominoes has been my favorite for a while because I like the crust, but I think I would prefer Papa John's, although I've only been there once and have a faint memory of what it was like.
When I lived in South Lake Tahoe (Nevada side), there was this little shack out on Highway 50 called Sam's Place. (Okay, it was a bar, but that's irrelevant.) These guys made the best pizza I've ever had anywhere, ever. I don't even know if they still exist, but that was some awesome pizza!
I am convinced that of all the pizzas I've tasted none can beat the ones I make at home. I just had four slices of my own make which consists of thinly cut slices of whole wheat bread smothered with a garlic and onion sauce (I also make that), pineapples, tomatoes and green onions. I also lightly cover it with herbs. Nice!
Americans on the average eat 18 acres of pizza every day.
