Urinary Tract Infection- Do You Know The Symptoms?

Have you ever had trouble emptying your bladder? How about any of these symptoms:

QUOTE
Pressure in the lower pelvis
Pain or burning with urination
Frequent or urgent need to urinate
Need to urinate at night
Cloudy urine
Blood in the urine
Foul or strong urine odor

If you have had any of these symptoms, then you may have a urinary tract infection. From my own experience I can tell you that they can be very painful. What is a urinary tract infection, also known as a UTI?

QUOTE
A UTI is an infection anywhere in the urinary tract. Your urinary tract includes the organs that collect and store urine and release it from your body. They are:

kidneys - collect wastes and extra water from your blood to make urine
ureters - carry the urine from your kidneys to your bladder
bladder - stores the urine and squeezes it out when full
urethra - carries the urine out of your bladder when you urinate

Oy and veh! I've had way too many of these in my lifetime. Painful is too mild a word. Two words to help prevent them: Drink Water.

And, of course, practice good hygiene, avoid caffiene and carbonated drinks, and eat lots of fresh foods.

This is the voice of experience talking!

Your reply is quiet informative (Farseer), but I don't think we have to avoid caffeine and carbonated drinks to prevent UTI, are you sure about it?
