When the nine Major Faiths come together, will there be Peace in the World?
The Golden Rules
1. Whatever we do to the web of Life we do to ourselves. Let us give thanks to the web, and the circle that connects us.
Native American (Chief Seattle)
2. So, whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. Christianity
3. That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellowmen. Judaism
4. One precept to be acted upon throughout one's whole life...
Do not unto others what you would not have them do to you. Confucianism
5. Do not hurt others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful. Buddhism
6. Not one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for self. Islam
7. This is the sum of duty: Do nothing to others which would cause you pain if done to you. Hinduism
8. Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain, and your neighbor's loss as your own loss. Taoism
9. That nature alone is good which keeps from doing unto another whatever is not good for itself. Zoroastrianism

That is great FarSeer and I have seen similar types before quoting the actual verses. The only religion I know that actively tries to merge all religions as one is the Bahai, other than that I think just the mention of the word 'religion' these days starts a fight or debate let alone bring peace or unity. I believe the major part of this is due to the number of 'events' in history and the present done in the name of religion. I believe the only sure cure is for He who has created all to come from on high and settle it.
What I find fascinating is that each one has the same basic precept -- and yet, we still can't seem to be at peace.
I believe you are right: There will be no peace until the great and marvelous day of the Lord.
