US teen on 'vomit assault' charge
A US high school student who vomited on his Spanish teacher has been charged with battery against a school official. The 17-year-old from Olathe, Kansas, explained it was an accident brought on by the stress of final exams. But prosecutors said witnesses alleged the boy intentionally threw up on teacher David Young.
Assistant district attorney Rick Guinn said they were seeking an apology from the teenager, who has since been expelled from the school. Teacher Mr Young described the incident as "outrageous".

According to first hand accounts, the teacher wasn't even all that upset until two days later. This kid was an honor student in accelerated classes. The people who decided to expel this kid where a bunch of idiots! Yes, I just used a very harsh insult, but the situation is extenuating. In a world where kids barely try in school any more, youdon'tt expel the kid that is exceptionally bright and is getting good grades. Whats more, he ddoesn'thave a history of getting in trouble. In fact, he is the poster boy of the kid you want in your school. Whether he did it on purpose or accident is not even the issue.
The kid says it was an accident, and some other kids say it was done on purpose. Why not take the kids word for it and get on with school? Not convinced? Then give him suspension or detention as punishment, but don't kick him out of school. Its hard to believe that the people making these decisions have a collage degree and are aloud to teach at all! I know kids that have a history of fighting and bad grades that are given better chances than this kid. Give me a break, let the kid back in and fire the administration making such ridiculous punishments!
