Someone please explain to me the benefits of having credit cards again?
They are debt traps that cause the average american to fall into over 8,000 dollars in debt. At the minimum payments that takes like 30 years to pay off. Now you add the security risk of getting all your information stolen and your card used to rack up bills that you cant pay. The benefit of a descent credit score is not worth it. I have a descent credit score with no card, just utility, car, and student loan payments on time. Credit cards are nothing but trouble. I use my debit card, which only goes through if the money is in the bank.
