Uefa Intertoto

What do you think about this competition - interesting, useless, UEFA just wanted to "fill" some free dates in the calendar?

Anyway, here is the schedule for the finals (the tree winers will qualify for UEFA Cup's first round):

Raul I think the Intertoto is a complete waste of time. It basicaly rewards mediocrity. If a team is not good enough to qualify for the UEFA cup they don't deserve a second chance.

Too many tournaments in UEFA. There should be Champions League and the regular 'Cup' tournament. Intertoto ends up with teams that have no business being in a tournament at all. For the same reason eliminate the Super Cup as well.

I see this problem as similar to College Bowl games here in the US. Too many teams getting to play in the postseason with very little merit.
