ALBERTA RCMP OFFER $100,000 REWARD FOR SERIAL KILLER
Police in Alberta have released a profile of a man they believe has killed several prostitutes in Edmonton, and are offering a reward of $100,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

But he did indeed kill the women in question. So he/she is indeed a killer. The multiple killings of a particular type of person marks the killer as a serial killer. So sensationalized or not, there is still a serial killer on the loose. Use what ever terminology helps you sleep at night, but serial killer has to meet a definition, its not a sensationalized term, the killer has to meet criteria.
