Crucified Nun Dies In 'exorcism'

Bucharest - A 23-year-old Romanian nun died after she was tied to a cross in an apparent exorcism ritual and left in a cold room for three days without food, said police on Friday.

This link doesn't mention some results of the investigation: the nun suffered from schizophrenia and the head monk interpreted it as she was "possessed". (I couldn't find other internet links - this is what the local news showed).

Ridiculous religious crazy people. Its called modern medicine. We now know that people don't get possessed and suddenly go crazy! There are diagnosed and treatable mental illnesses. We know, for the most part, when these happen and what and where the brain goes wrong. Apparently these monks and nuns are still living in a era in which leaches, blood letting, and exorcism are still acceptable cures for problems with people! Its good that the majority of the religious community understands that just because someone acts bizarre doesnt mean that they are possessed.
