VENOMOUS MAMMAL FIND A FIRST: ALBERTA PALEONTOLOGIST
A small, fossilized mammal had what appears to be poisonous fangs that allowed it to bite like a snake - the first such find in an extinct mammal, Canadian researchers say.

Mammal Venomous
I never realized that ANY mammals existed with venomous fangs. Apparently, not only DID they exists, there still exist small rat-like mammals with fangs. And I had no idea the playpus had a venom delivery system. But Im not really suprised at that, that is the weirdest looking animal alive.

Wonder what it would have been like for snakes to be the ones running from the mice! That would mean that there is some severe evolutionary poetic justice going on right now between snakes and mice!
