SOCIALISTS TIPPED TO TAKE BULGARIA
Bulgarians trickled in to vote on Saturday in an election seen as key for the Balkan country's bid to join the European Union in 2007, with the Socialists expected to defeat the ex-king, Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg.

I think this is a bad thing for Bulgaria. The socialists have already shown that they cannot run the country well. Socialism has not often been successful in a country to begin with. Bulgaria is poised to join the EU very soon and needed a strong system of government in place, one that would pass all the reforms needed and create a strong economic situation in the country. I don't know if that will happen or not, they really need to be able to join the EU.
