
Majority of slovenians speak more than one language, but not so much on account of our neighbours, but mainly because in the past century the territory of slovenia in whole or in part belonged to seven different states, and only the last one is really slovenian. It is true, however, that slovenian neighbours represent all the major european language groups, and in that we are in a unique position.
We consider ourselves to be a western culture, and I don't think our views on North America are any different than those of other european countries.
