You decide to go closer to the Mountains while paying attention for any unusual activity. You look for a path that will give you a vantage point to get a better panoramic view of the area. You see something that seems a worthwhile attempt, but you are no professional climber and this steep rocky mountain is indeed a challenge for the brave. Nevertheless you attempt it.
Magsley takes a Grappling hook, rope, hammer, spikes, sling and axe. As you begin to climb you realize that it will take incredible dexterity to continue, you can do it, but it will be a risk.
GM: Say if you wish to continue an attempt to the top.
Magsley, despite ALL odds, decides to tackle the venerable mountain.
Wanderer looks with a quizzed face at the specktackle before her.
As he starts up he finds the grip and judgment on hands holds far less than he had hoped. Using the rope and spikes as an aid he climbs. He stays tied to the rope on the way up and using the spikes to anchor the rope in case he slips. Clutching on holding the best he can he continues but does not get far when his footing fails him. Reaching to grab what he can to slow his descent he plummets. In dire desperation he tries to snag the rope or spikes into a crevice that could stop his descent to the ground below.
Wander for the first time shows some sort of acknowledgment by yelling,
"Be that a ride from hell eh meat?"
GM: This is mostly to update the story as to what has happened thus far. The damage roll will determine the rest. As a tip, it is not wise to climb something so formidable, especially when you are not a climber.
A loud yell is the last from Magsley's lungs, then you hear a loud thud.
You go over to where his mangled body with prtruding bones now lies on the ground.
Daphe wastes a healing herb mixture on his body while looks on in bewilderment wondering if it is done for some religious purpose.
GM: Deleted from equipment
Daphne then looks at the dead body of Magsley and says "Sorry, but I don't think you will have the need of this, she says while taking the map of the area that Magsley had."
Wanderer says,
"Now he becomes the meat of the carrion above."
She then has a stone face to which you cannot understand why someone can be so heartless, but to your amazement she utters,
"I be journeying from here to East City to catch some bounty and good ale, chin up wench."
She then turns and starts a hearty trot to the North with not even a look back.
GM: Say what you will do now. It is noon. Krakyn is out of the game.
Daphne makes her way back to the Village, luckily with no event, but unfortunately disenchanted.
After arriving at the Village around 2:00pm tired and hungry it occurs to her how she could have salvaged much of the equipment and horse of Magsley, but chose only to part with a vague map.
GM: That was quick. You will need to regroup back at the Camp. This Scenario is closed until you are actually ready to journey again. You may also need to wait on more people? Please read the Tips, play Solo and so forth to gain better ideas about the South. Upgraded Members also have the Secret Order.
Party Stats have been updated offline only.
Start Again...
It is a good time to venture ye think and the measure of the number of black birds in the sky to the South seems to confirm this.
Three of ye assemble, three of ye hope to find great bounty, but ye feel it necessary to find Scout, who in times past have helped ye.
Upon inquiry ye find out that he ventured into the woods on a hunting expedition as he usually does and no one knows yet of his return.
GM: Welcome back people. Please do take your time in this one, remember I take everything into account when venturing, so do not make hasty moves without first considering the consequences. You have not posted party order.
Ye stand outside the Tavern of the Village hoping to see Scout, but ye do not see him.
GM: You will need to be specific as to what your characters are doing before Posting Party Order as I do not formulate tasks for them or in other words I do not state how they go about doing 'x', you will need to state this and I merely give you the result / consequence of that action.. Please see the Thread about Multitasking.
Amongst the three of you agreements are made and ye feel ye are well equipped.
Still in the need of Scout ye inquire wherever you go, but the response is still the same, no one knows where he is as he often hunts in the forests.
GM: Party Stats updated.
Kalfie leads thy small band and it is a sunny day with little cloud cover so ye delight in the ease of which ye can move. Ye still hope for the sight of Scout as ye leave a message for him to meet thee in the South. Considering South is as general as one can get in navigation ye will be hard pressed for an in person answer.
You start heading South and see nothing unusual as you pass what can be considered the bounds of the Village.
GM: 12pm. Say what you will do now. Everyone is mounted?
