Ensuring the 150 gp are save from any prying fingers and looks on at the warm welcome Daphne displays.
Well a thief ye maybe and perhaps a wise one since you so quickly admitted that in light of a sword.
Know for certain Dapne's sword be not alone if ye misstep.
looks stranger over head to toe and readjusts the axe he carries
I do not think I caught your name.
Quietly to Refton
Do ye think he might be one of them? Funny a thief dropping in after Daphne and I were just out to the south. Could he have spotted us being dragged back by the soldiers?
The name is tortdog.
Nods head slightly, while moving his neck away from the hands around them.
Latin for a dog that bites, you know. Smiles
Look, if there's a way I could continue on with you, then I would love to taste some adventure. And I would think that my sneaking ability would be somewhat useful as well. Besides, I'm not the dullest knife in the drawer.
Pats dog
And I'm training this beast to become something useful besides. Working with him. He might come in handy. So I'm at your service, if you think it possible. And I would only expect my share of what we might acquire to be that which you all feel I have merited.
Calls his dog, kneels down and begins speaking with the dog, rubbing him and working on commands

scowling
tortdog what do you take us for fools? We were escorted back to town what we kept is only what we where allowed. I near lost a horse and all its supplies let alone worrying about a few days of dry rations.
I do not know what to think of this one.*looking at Daphne* I am sure his blade and keen eyes would be an aid.
rubs his chin deep in thought
ooc: Thanks for posting! I wanted to get one more thing in before the party post.
If'n yall let me come for a ride on the back of a horse, then I'd be greatly in your debt.
And, might I add, I had heard that someone glances at Daphne left her dead partner's horse out by Death's Mouth. I'm wondering if we kept our eyes out if we wouldn't find it out there as a stray. Certainly would want to keep my eyes open.
Also, I think it advisable that I fill up my water skins, and look for small game along the way. No reason to eat rations when we can eat fresh meat. Should be plenty in this dense forest (and would need it before we get to the desert).
If yall don't have room, I wonder if it might be wise to just stay in the village and get a job to earn some gold until the next party heads out.
ooc: Not sure how you put that in the party order. But in essence, I want to make my own rod if it's feasible, using wood around the village, but if it's not, then I'll pick one up at the market. Perhaps it could be put in as a multiple point order, with precedence to looking for a suitable branch outside the city, and if not found to purchase the rod instead.

Daphne looks at Kalfie and is glad to see some rough treatment for the Stranger....
Yes, I think he can be helpful (she looks at tortdog up and down). Maybe a little training too...anyhow, would you take him at the back of your horse?
OCC: So are we collecting the money for Scout?
