Daphne raises and eyebrow and says...
I hear that! I have a very good sense of hearing. I may not be very good at drawing maps but I know exactly how to use this (she draws sword) when I do not like someone. So watch out *chickentortdog*.
She then looks at Kalfie and says...
Novices! I am telling you, I did not come here to babysit chickendogs, turtledogs or whatever have you!
ooc: I am sure he will correct the time once he realizes the mistake.
ooc: Just thinking, is it possible GM would have penalized with a 12-hour hit because of the Labor Day sabbatical we took? If'n he did (that IS a word down here in the South), then maybe it really IS night time and Daphne (bless her soul) saved us from a romp in the darkness.
Of course, Scout is still here so I think that's unlikely.
ooc Yes I believe it might have been an over sight or tortdog is a very slow tree climber. We need to post within this hour
looks at the dynamic due in front of him and ponders who will push who off the cliff first
Tortdog I agree we will have to manage our mounts with us but if we could get a good looksy as to where that path goes just perhaps we might get over or a new path be seen. So I ask who would like to sneak up that path a few hundred yards and see what they can find.
Scout has said he will lead us towards the path and ensure we understand where it goes but in now way is he risking his neck on this venture.
shivers slightly even though he is not cold
Here we are Deaths mouth. I say we continue at the same pace into the foot of the mountains and try to use this for cover. On route I will be searching visually mostly on the western side looking for a path that will provide most cover as we go west along the mountain foot. I will note any place a cave may exist and avoid it on the path I plot. What will you be doing tortdog and Daphne? Once at the base of the mountain we progress at a pace that will allow us to cover our trail as we close in on the trail Scout mentioned. Once there we survey the trail for foot prints.
I propose to cover our trail while tortdog and Daphne keep a look out heading forward. We will stick to areas that conceal tracks when possible.
Kalfie knows in his bones the next hour may break or make this campaign
Well, first of all I'm wondering what the devil Scout is doing heading south. By my map, that means he's heading over the Southern mountains or through Death's Mouth, but NOT towards the village which is north of here.
And it sounds like this "path" is not a path but rather a climber's route. Whoever heard of using a grappling hook and rope for a "path," not I. So I'm completely confused. I'm not a climber. I am somewhat nimble, but taught in the skills of rope and grapple hook?
Not me.
And, Daphne, is this the same place where your last companion fell and died from his attempt at this "path"?
Tortdog, that's right. Same place. Unless a person is an experienced climber, we are all dead for sure so I am not going to climb anything that seems impossible to climb. There must be another way to go without having to climb, any thoughts?
