Daphne and Tort continue to urge their horses forward, to a point just east of where the horde just went north. Daphne continues to glance to the south and east, while Tort spies the northern and western horizons. Each keeps and eye out for any trace of their friend, and the bandits.
Upon reaching the forest, they search for an opening large enough to allow their steeds to enter, yet which is close enough to the path down which the horde had passed.
ooc: As always, make any changes you deem appropriate. I'm just posting a draft for you to review and then modify. Kind of my mindset. If you see ANYTHING you want to change or adjust, please just do it. You certainly don't need to ask me.
Rolled 16 I think lost the paper I wrote it on but at worst it was 18.
So what ever I did worked. I guess that means what I dropped.
Keep riding up path hard I guess. dang I messed up bad.
OOC: you are right Daphne we messed around in the opening too long. I did not realise we had strayed so far from the tracks or would have just plodded along. I think they would have come out after us anyhow.
Hope this works.
ooc: Daphne, it just dawned on me that the GM might advise us that the forest is too thick for us to enter. If so, we would need to advise that if we cannot enter the forest under cover that we choose to head east at the forest line until we can find a proper opening. I can just see us receive news that our plan to enter the forest cover fails, we stand there dumbly, while the horde reappears and kills us. I might be paranoid - and it might be inappropriate to edit your party post. But if you agree, I would post at the end:
If Daphne and Paul discover the forest as too thick for entry on their mounts, they opt to turn east and race along the forest's edge until they find such an opening. Daphne would then continue to look at her back for signs of the bandits, while Tort looks for an opening and scans forward.
Okay. So we're now finally at the forest. We don't see any traces of anyone. I am assuming we can't hear anything either, though I am not sure. I suggest that you look for any shapes or indications from any beings on the horizon, while I look for an opening to the north that allows us to ride into the forest. I take out the map, mark it accordingly, then take our bearings. Before riding off, we also cover signs of our entry, and cover our tracks. We then continue in a northwesterly direction in the forest until we can see the path that we came down on with Scout.
If we cannot find such an opening, then we search first heading east, away from where the bandits were last seen, until we find such an opening.
If you disagree to any part, just make changes. If you have a completely different plan, then I am open to ideas on that as well. If you feel strongly, let's just do what you have in mind.
