I'm glad the decision was made to lift the ban. People should not be banned from expressing their religion, or even spreading it, as long as those involved are doing it of their own free will. The kids parents knew about it and sanctioned it, it should never have been banned. Like anything else, if someone didn't like it, then don't come. We can never live in a truly free world as long as we continue to ban things that offend others. In a free world, someone gets offended every day. This is no different, let those who want to participate, do it.

We have a law in the states that if a school is going to allow one type of club to meet, they have to allow all kinds of clubs to meet. For instance, if they're going to allow a civic club of sorts to meet, they cannot deny a Christian group to have organized meetings.

When I was in high school, we would meet for prayer during lunch, and nobody would mess with us. It was a decision we made, and we would go and sit outside by a tree away from distractions. People would see us and ask what we were doing, which opened up a wave of witnessing opportunities. It was great!

They really had no grounds to try to ban the program as it was. Students were required to bring permission slips from home, according to the article, in order to participate. They weren't going out and forcing other students to join in. It was a wise decision for them to give up on the ban because had they not, the school probably would have been looking at possible law suits.
