I am not sure that adding more police will deter a terrorist attack in britian or anywhere else. Most will look at the added police as more people to kill, hurt or scare. I think more can be done to take away from terroristic groups.

this is true. The more and more that attacks are carried out in Britain the more and more the population will turn against them. Soon you will have people roaming around and attacking those who are muslim just because they feel that they may be terrorists. I hope those muslims who are innocent do more to put a stop to these extremist groups before they are as a whole persecuted.
