How odd that I read about a nineteenth century existentialist in the same post as the word christianity. He is widely talked about and referenced when it comes to my existentialist mailing list and forum. To be sure, you cannot be a christian and agree with Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche believed in questioning everything in society that hindered freedom of any kind. That includes laws against the freedom to kill for a purpose.

This mass murderer used popular christian ideals to further his own agenda of murder. Most likely, this was more about the freedom to kill those he disagrees with and the power to kill at will and decide what people will see in it. In this case, the ability to kill and make people believe that he was killing for someone elses moral cause. I hate people that kill in the name of morality. Murder, for any reason, is never right, and anyone who thought he was a christian needed to take a hard and close second look. Would your God truly condone murder?
