Years ago I also wrote a letter complaining to Marriott Corp. about the pornography in their rooms. I received a similar letter (saying it's about providing guests what they want). |
Tortdog, seems like you are starting to see the TRUTH in this.
Here is a related example:
I used to design web sites for fashion models. One model in particular was a client for mine for years until she had breast surgery and wanted me to put up 'naughty' pictures. They were not full nude, but you know, the poses were a bit much. At first I tried to cater for her by pasting text and graphics all over the 'parts', but she did not like it and I did not like working with it, so I told her to find herself another web designer.
There would have been no excuse for me to continue working with her other than her money. However, I should not let money be an issue when it comes to my name association. Right now, Marriott is letting his name be associated with porn and gambling. Not very high in my books.
Then when you see Members flocking to hear firesides from him with bright eyes I have to wonder... are they this excited when they see their home teachers or read the scriptures?
You guys know how I feel about this topic already. And when I read things like the following in the news (and the whole "Mormon" founder) I think how much is Marriott making that Elder Marriott would decide NOT to stop porn showing on the chain of hotels where he is in charge!
Looks like after many years they (possibly Marriott)will finally phase out p-rn from Marriott Hotels: Source 5
