The world is becoming less traditional and humans find themselves living together to counteract the policies of law or religion in relationships. How is it in your country are more people choosing to live together or get married?
Fewer in U.S. marry as more live together
Reuters - Both the U.S. marriage and divorce rates are dropping while the number of unwed couples living together is rising, according to an annual study of marriage released Monday.

I don't if I chose correctly because I am going purely based on observation rather than hard facts, but I voted that they live together first. American civilization has become so liberal minded when it comes to the sanctity of marriage and intimicy. More and more people are living together and having sex before marriage, and the sad part is that if two people wait to experience those things until they are married, they are the ones looked at oddly.
In the US, I believe more live together first, then marry. I think this is the norm in the States.
From what I know, it is true that more people live together then marry, if they marry at all. I am pulled two different directions by this topic and it tears my heart apart. On one hand, I am a Christian and do not see that living together before marriage is a good thing. On the other hand, I am a divorced young woman and KNOW for a fact that if I had lived with him before we got married, I would not have made that mistake. I ended up marrying someone who was very abusive in any way, fashion, or form that you can imagine. I did this because he never showed his TRUE colors to me until the night we married. Maybe if we had lived together first, I would not have married him and would be more trusting at this point.
Silverjade, I don't think it would have made a difference if you had lived with him before marriage. I lived with my last ex-husband before we married and he pushed and pushed to get married - hurry hurry hurry! - and even told me once that he "can't keep up this good behavior much longer." I thought he was kidding, but, boy, was I wrong.
Stick to your beliefs and hold out for someone who won't push you into marrying before you know him well. That old story about free milk and a cow is absolutely true.
In my opinion, of course.

Farseer, you could be right. I will never know. I learned my lesson with my ex-husband. When I told my mother I was leaving him she said "you will be right back with him within two weeks" and I proved her wrong. I will admit I was desperate to be loved and was willing to go through alot, but he put me through alot of things I could never let myself endure again.
