
8-YEAR-OLD DRIVES TRUCK TO SAVE FATHER
An eight-year-old Saskatchewan boy is being hailed as a hero, after driving a truck to get help when his father became trapped under some machinery.

It is amazing what young kids can do when necessary. Of course, the fact that he had driven a vehicle before made a big difference. At least he knew how to operate the pedals, etc.
My son can't even iron a shirt! Well, he can now because I taught him today. So, whose fault is that? Mine. I think this shows we need to teach our children how to do adult things when they are young so when they are adults they will be prepared, but more than that so that in an emergency like this was for this man, they can help.
